Amazon.com has named 25-year veteran Samir Kumar as its new India head, replacing Manish Tiwary who stepped down last month.

Samir Kumar, Amazon’s vice president of international consumer business based in Washington, is set to take over as the ecommerce giant’s country manager for India, a month after Manish Tiwary stepped down from the role.

This is Kumar's second stint in India, as he was part of the core team which launched the online retailer's India operations in 2013.
